This station is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Madison Avenue and West 117th Street, in the City of Cleveland, a few feet from the Lakewood City border. It lies in the center of a dense retail / commercial area formerly known as Highland Square.

The rail platform spans West 117th Street, giving commuters a birds-eye view of the congestion they are spared while taking the Rapid.
