CLEVELAND -- Buses will replace trains on the Red Line east of Tower City on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, officials of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) said.
This affects all Red Line rail service from Tower City on Public Square to the Louis Stokes Station at Windermere in East Cleveland.
Because of construction at the Cedar-University Rapid Station, that part of the Red Line will be closed from the beginning of service on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, through the end of service the same day.
On Public Square, buses will pick up and drop off in front of the Horseshoe Casino.
Regular Red Line rail service will resume on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.
Replacement buses are always provided when trains are not in service. Buses will operate on a schedule close to that of the train. All riders should allow extra travel time to reach their destination. RTA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to customers.
RTA provides quality, economic and safe public transportation via rail, bus and Paratransit throughout Cuyahoga County. Rea- time information is available for all buses and trains. Check www.riderta.com or call the RTAnswerline at 216-621-9500.
