Traveling between downtown and Ohio City is fast and convenient. RTA's new Ohio City Connector brings together existing RTA bus service into just two stops -- downtown and Ohio City. Board an RTA bus at these stops for a quick trip to and from Cleveland's historic Ohio City neighborhood.
Riding the Rapid
Public Square and Ohio City are connected by the Red Line Rapid Transit, which operates about 20 hours a day, seven days a week. Board at the Tower City Station, head west toward Hopkins Airport, and exit at the first station -- West 25th Street -- right across the street from the West Side Market.
Pay before boarding. All stations have fare vending machines.
Hop on the bus -- there's plenty to choose from
Every day, RTA buses make some 200 trips from Public Square to the West Side Market -- an average of one bus every 7-8 minutes. During the day, buses run more often than in the evening. If you are heading toward Ohio City for dinner or nightlife, be aware of the evening bus times for the return trip downtown. Ohio City Connector buses are on these routes -- 22, 45, 51-A-B-C, 79-79A and 81.
You will find the logo on a bus shelter at West Third and Superior Avenue, and another on the shelter in front of the West Side Market. RTA offers 200 bus trips a day from downtown to Ohio City.
The West Side Market attracts Clevelanders and visitors throughout the year to shop or dine. Each day, RTA offers 100 Rapid trips and 200 bus trips, from downtown to Ohio City.
After you have visited the West Side Market, there's lots to see and do, eat and drink, in Ohio City. In fact, there's too many things to do in just one visit, so plan on coming back again,
RTA's Red Line Rapid Transit makes more than 100 trips a day from downtown to the West 25th Street Station, across the street from the West Side Market. The Red Line also serves the Airport.
